Half-Half Sun Salutations | Half-Sun Salutations | Sun Salutations A

The full sequence of ‘Sun Salutation B’ (Surya Namaskara B) or ‘Salute to the Sun B’ begins at the top of the mat and links nineteen (19) gracefully linked asanas (ah-sah-nahs or poses), which is seven (7) asanas longer than Surya Namaskar A.

Keep in mind, yoga very much like Algebra, what you do on one side of the equation, you must do on the other side of the equation. Also keep in mind that Sun Salutation A involves one (1) Chaturanga Dandasana (yogi pushi-up) while Sun Salutation A involves three (3) Chaturanga Dandasana’s on each side. So that’s six (6) yogi push-ups to complete a Sun Salutation B. There are also two (2) Utkatasana’s (chair poses) at the beginning and end of the sequence.
