In 2016, she earned her 200hr yoga teacher certification with emphasis in hatha and vinyasa style yoga through Blue Fire Yoga in Okinawa, Japan. In 2017, she traveled to Rishikesh, India earning her 300hr yoga teacher certification at Rishikesh Yog Peeth completing additional studies in hatha and vinyasa yoga principles, yogic philosophy, anatomy and physiology, and Yoga Nidra. In 2018, she earned her 85hr prenatal yoga teacher certification through Yoga Deza in St. Charles, MO from Jane's House of Well Being. She is also certified in other styles such as yin, restorative and chair yoga. She has studied with well known and experienced teachers such as: Leslie Howard, Liz Koch, Jules Mitchell, Gil Hedley, Cyndi Lee, Jill Miller, Deb Flashenberg, and Tiffany Cruikshank. 

Jessica is also a military spouse and has extensive experience working with active duty military, veterans and their families. She is a certified Warriors at Ease Level 1 Instructor and participates in their Annual Poses for Pledges fundraising event held on Veterans Day. This fundraising event for Warriors at Ease helps bring yoga and meditation into military communities and helps service members, veterans and their families with their post-traumatic growth and supports their overall wellness. Along side of this, she is also a member of the Military Birth Resource Network. This organization's mission is to support healthy, safe and satisfying pregnancies, birth and postpartum experiences for military families across the globe. 

Jessica is the owner and operator of Meraki Perinatal Yoga. She holds a BSc. in Exercise Science, along with ISSA Master Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor, Pre/Postnatal Fitness Specialist, E-RYT and RPYT certifications. She also has advanced fitness training in biomechanics, pilates and exercise therapy. Being a fitness instructor, personal trainer and a yoga instructor since 2012 has provided her the opportunity to teach to a wide variety of people such as: seniors, pregnant women, runners, active military and veterans, rheumatoid arthritis and chronic pain sufferers, people struggling with anxiety, depression and the list goes on.
