Swami Kriyananda (born James Donald Walters) was a direct disciple of the yogi Paramahansa Yogananda, and the founder of the Ananda, a worldwide movement of spiritual intentional communities based on Yogananda's World Brotherhood Colonies ideal. Yogananda made him a minister for his organization, Self-Realization Fellowship. When Kriyananda left SRF he founded Ananda.

Died: April 21, 2013 (aged 86); Assisi, Italy

Philosophy: Kriya Yoga

Guru: Paramahansa Yogananda

Swami Kriyananda says, “The Secret of Meditation is to focus your gaze and attention at the Christ Center between the eyebrows — the seat of ecstasy in the body.”

Website: www.ananda.org - if you have some time to listen to Swami Kriyananda’s talks, he has some incredible wisdom and insight. He is a delight to listen. You can find a lot of his talk on YouTube for FREE. The ones where he is interviewed I find the most fascinating. You will really enjoy listening to his simplistic spiritual style.
